If your city, town, college, university, or company has already decided that you will have a bicycle share, Alta Bicycle Share can help you determine the optimal locations for the bicycle share stations using a GIS-based demand / location study. Information used will include property ownership and historic preservation information; characteristics of the immediate area including bicycle facilities, business, tourist locations, transit usage, demographics. The locations will be refined by using further criteria, including creating a network, minimizing impact on the micro-local pedestrian and business environment, access from transit, lighting, accessibility for kiosk installation and bike maintenance.
Included in a location study are site design guidelines and construction permitting, and a detailed understanding of permitting requirements for each location.
